It will really make a difference in my approach to looking for a job to know that networking is the most effective way to find one. By following the workshop suggestions I have started getting in touch with my network to begin my search. Learning about behavioral interviews was something new to me! Knowing and practicing some real life interview questions makes me feel more prepared. And knowing the kind of questions that will be asked in an interview will help me prepare in advance. I have a better understanding of the kind of information I need to gather and experiences I need to review in order to do well.

JumpSTART Your Career, a program of the Alexandra Surdyk Jones Foundation Inc., a 501-C-3 charitable organization, empowers women in the greater metro Atlanta area to build successful attitudes to achieve their personal and professional goals. Through weekly two-hour workshops JumpSTART Your Career seeks to help women match their skills, interests and abilities to compatible career opportunities. The six-week course is designed to empower women to develop positive attitudes and learn to prepare, package and promote their strengths successfully. Workshop classes are offered to all women of all ages at no cost as are childcare services during class hours (when available).Workshop facilitators lead class discussions and guest speakers address a variety of work related topics.
